You wait for a bus to come along and….well you know the rest

An incredible two weeks of swimming from the Mighty Waikato, all coming quick and fast from our very own Waterworld, Hamilton.

After months of chatter around the likelihood of competitive opportunities, it was great to finally get the green light for both NZ Short Course and NZ Secondary Schools. A huge thank you to the team at Swimming New Zealand for all their hard work behind the scenes and to all of the Waikato volunteers without who, events like these would not be possible.

It was great to see two competitions of such high standard coming to our patch of turf, it is safe to say that we officially have a ‘fast pool’, considering some of the great results coming through.

Congratulations to all the Waikato swimmers who competed and to all the hard work put in by the coaches day in and day out; some fantastic results, made all the more impressive with the demands placed on you all during and post lockdown.
