It was great to see the two Regional Squads heading to compete in Australia come together for the first of two long course sessions together in Morrinsville.
Both the Queensland and Victorian Championships Teams trained alongside both Coaching Teams ahead of their respective meets in December. We were also joined by Sarah Cummings of Liz Van Welie who is travelling and competing alongside the Waikato Regional team, great to have you with us Sarah.

With limited Long Course training options it was a pleasure to take the swimmers out to Morrinsville where the team got stuck into a challenging lactate tolerance session.
We have a great group of talented swimmers, coaches and team managers heading off-shore to represent the Region and Country against some of the strongest competition in the World , however we aim to step up to that challenge and more.

This weekend will see the second of the two Morrinsville sessions where the swimmers will be joined by Kim Deane (Physio) and Lillian Morton (Nutritionist) to discuss how we make the most of out every race opportunity.
