Strategic Plan

Our strategic plan challenges us to continue to grow and develop the sport of swimming in the Waikato.

PARTICIPATION STRATEGY

This strategy will focus on the areas that Swimming Waikato can impact to achieve increased growth and participation in swimming.

.

Health & Safety

In early 2016, we engaged OSHbox to develop a Health & Safety Management Plan that allowed us to confidently manage our H&S compliance in line with the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 and any future amendments.

Safe Pool Depth for Diving

Swimming New Zealand have adopted Swimming Australia’s guidelines around safe pool depths for diving.

Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct is an important document which outlines the rights and responsibilities of all our members in the varied roles they play in delivering and participating in swimming in the Waikato.

Member Protection Policy

Our Member Protection Policy has been developed to reinforce our commitment to providing a safe environment for everyone participating in swimming in the Waikato.  If disputes arise that cannot be resolved at a club or regional level, we have adopted SNZ’s Disputes & Disciplinary Policy to assist with dispute resolution.

WAIKATO REGIONAL WATER SAFETY STRATEGY 2023-30

Swimming Waikato are proud partners of the Waikato Regional Water Safety Strategy and are committed to working collectively to lower the rate of preventable drownings in our region.

.

Bylaws

As a result of this constitutional change, Swimming Waikato has adopted bylaws to cover many of the key governance areas which were included in the previous constitution, but no longer covered in the current version.
