Following the announcement yesterday of changes to alert level restrictions for Waikato and Auckland, please find information below relating to Alert Level 3 – Phase 2. We are working with Sport NZ to advocate for a review of the restrictions outlined below, as we want to provide the everyone the opportunity to return to the pool.

Alert Level 3 – Phase 2

It is very unfortunate that the roadmap outlined a few weeks ago in a Covid-19 press conference has been amended so that indoor recreational facilities including swimming pools must remain closed. We understand the reason behind this adjustment is that the government has taken a position that all exercise relates to the outdoors only.

We are currently don’t have any definitive advice as to whether outdoor pools can open, but do note the increase to outdoor gatherings for exercise to 25 people whilst maintaining 2m physical distancing.
