For the second year running, Swimming Waikato have picked up the Waikato Sports & Active Recreation Partnership Award at the prestigious regional awards evening in Hamilton. The award was recognition for our work in the Water Safety Education space and for the implementation of our Waikato Lifejacket Hub, alongside our partners Maritime New Zealand, Drowning Prevention Auckland and Hamilton City Council.

‘Winning this award twelve months ago was a fantastic recognition for the team but to do it for a second-year running is testament to the continued mana of the organization and our partners and supporters. Being able to show-case Swimming Waikato and our work in front of over 300 guests in attendance was a privilege and a real shot in the arm’ Darren Ward, CEO

Thank you to the team at Sport Waikato for a wonderful evening, celebrating a number of incredible Sport & Active recreation projects throughout the region.
