SW SQUAD SELECTION CRITERIA 2021 – edited May 2020

Over the last five years, our regional squads program has offered a wide range of development oppertunities to swimmers throughout the Waikato. We have enjoyed talks with a current Olympic God Medalist and World Record Holder as well as working with renowned sports psychologists, nutritionists, breathing expert, biomechanics, strength and conditioning coaches and physios.. We have enjoyed three very successful international tours to Queensland and Victorian Championships respectively, lead by our fantastic Regional Coaching Group.

We hade led the way nationally in terms of available opportunities at regional level and with the support of our amazing regional coaches will continue to do so. Our Regional Squad Program will continue to adapt to the challenges we currently face whilst sourcing the best available resources and opportunities for our developing athletes.
